Update on the new shop, time to move in! It has b Update on the new shop, time to move in!

It has been a crazy month working out of the old shop that is 45 min away from where we moved to while simultaneously working to get the new shop ready to go. Lot of work, but it will all pay off.

Really excited to get this all put together. As always, thank you all for your patience and support 👊
Second coat done, I think that'll do. Should be ab Second coat done, I think that'll do. Should be able to start wiring tonight.

Finished priming the OSB on the walls. I have hear Finished priming the OSB on the walls. I have heard from other people and personally witnessed OSB delaminate when painted directly with a water-based paint/primer due to the adhesive in the OSB also being water-based. I have heard from other people that they didn't have a problem using water-based coatings directly on the OSB. I wasn't taking the chance due to what I have seen personally happen. This is primed with Kilz oil based primer, which can now be top coated with water-based (latex) paint. This stuff has dried pretty fast, and will be ready to top-coat tomorrow 👊

Good progress today. Got the bottom run of sheathi Good progress today. Got the bottom run of sheathing scribed to the floor on the panel wall of the building so I could mount the panel. Got the power terminated in one of the distribution panels at the house and in the sub panel in the shop. Power is live now, that was a pretty big milestone.

Tomorrow I will finish scribing the bottom run of sheathing to the floor and get the LED fixtures mounted to the ceiling. Then it is time for primer on the walls.

Hopefully the power is restored to the old house/shop tomorrow so I can get a bunch of orders out. Again, thank you all very much for your patience and understanding ❤️
A little update. As some of you know, we had a rea A little update. As some of you know, we had a really bad wind storm come through KY on Friday. Not much damage to the new house or shop, lost a few shingles on the new house. Easily repairable.

We had a lot of damage at my shooting club. Completely lost a big barn (about 40 feet x 120 feet) with a few pieces of equipment inside which fell across the entrance road to the club. Our club operations manager and I got the road cleared early Saturday morning.

Power is still out at my old house/shop and isn't supposed to be restored until Wednesday night. Internet just came back on at the new house.

Got a good majority of the wall skin up in the new shop today with the help of Gary Nash, and he also brought his skid steer over to backfill my utility trench I dug last week and fix a few spots in the new driveway going back to the shop. Going to finalize the electric connection tomorrow and start priming the walls. Coming along nicely.

Again, thank you all very much for your patience.

And, the view from the new house doesn't suck ❤️
Well, my underground power cable that was supposed Well, my underground power cable that was supposed to get here this Friday showed up around noon today unexpectedly. The insulation guys had just finished up and left, so I figured I would go grab a ditch witch and get this knocked out before it rains on Friday.

The trench is about 80 yards long and 30 inches deep. Running 1/0 quadraplex UHD direct bury cable for power, and two runs of direct bury CAT6 data cable.

Coming along nicely. Time for my 10th trip to Lowes this week.
Spray foam in the walls and ceiling is done! 4 inc Spray foam in the walls and ceiling is done! 4 inches of foam in the walls and ceiling, and the insulation guys are coming back tomorrow to spray another 5 inches of fiberglass over top of the foam in the ceiling. This should be a very efficient space to climate control. Think I am going to install a 24,000 BTU mini split unit.
The ceiling is done! Big thanks to my buddy Gary N The ceiling is done! Big thanks to my buddy Gary Nash for the help a couple of afternoons this week. Spray foam contractor is coming tomorrow, then it is time to skin the walls. Getting closer 👊
I know I have been really quiet on here and slow t I know I have been really quiet on here and slow to respond, and I apologize. Lot going on right now getting the house moved as well as getting the new shop ready to move into while still working out of the old shop and getting orders out.

My Dad and I made good progress getting the inside of the new shop framed for insulation and interior walls. Trying to get level and plumb framing inside a shell that is far from that is always time-consuming. Getting there, though. Will be ready to hang the ceiling and have spray foam insulation put in next week. Then it is skinning the interior walls, paint, electric, heat, etc. Also have to run a new underground service entrance line from the house about 80 yards to the shop building.

I will be sure to catch up on customer correspondence from the last couple days this weekend, I really appreciate all of your patience.
Back at it. Going to be a crazy couple weeks. Clos Back at it. Going to be a crazy couple weeks. Closing on a new house tomorrow and then putting in double shifts getting the new shop ready to go while still getting orders out the door. Extra space is going to allow me to expand and streamline some processes, as well as work towards hiring someone.
