The last couple of months have been nothing short

The last couple of months have been nothing short of complete chaos, and I don't mean for that to sound dramatic. The high order volume mixed with moving the house and the shop, getting the new shop building renovated, getting the old house ready to sell and sold, prepping for two major USPSA matches I am running this year (1 down!), local USPSA matches I run, and presidential responsibilities at my club, has had me spread probably the thinnest I have ever been. This has all aggregated in the last 2.5 months.

When I have a ton of different big things all going on at once, it is hard to feel like I am making tangible progress on any one of them. But when I take a few minutes to reflect back on the last couple of months, I also can't really believe all that I have completed.

I am going to keep hustling on getting orders out in addition to prepping for my second major match I am putting together for mid-June. I apologize for getting so behind on customer contacts, which I am working on catching up on now.

I really appreciate all of your support and patience through this busy time. It will all be for the best in the not too distant future. Just have to remind myself to keep on pushing consistently, and occasionally take a minute to reflect on what I have accomplished.

Another successful major @theuspsa match in the books! This was the 6th major USPSA match I have run in the last 4 years, and I always seem to forget how worn out I am by the time it is over.

I don't want this to get buried too far down in the post, but see what you can do to get involved and help your local and regional match directors. There are lots of people out there putting in a ton of time to make these matches happen. They do it because they love doing it and want to give to the community, but see what you can do to help!

I want to first and foremost thank our excellent staff for all of their hard work. These matches do not happen without great staff that truly care about the quality of the match. I want to give extra thanks to my small core group of people that put in many hours to get these matches on the ground and make sure things run smoothly. We are getting better at it every time, but it will always be a ton of work.

This was our first attempt at a staff reset match, and I think overall it was very well received. It was taxing on the undersized staffing pool we ended up with by the time the match started, but they really pushed through and we all got it done without substantial delays.

The stage design tools are 1:24 scale, not some arbitrary proportion that doesn't equate to real numbers on the ground. This scale means that a distance of 1-inch in your model space equals a distance of 24-inches on the ground. This also means you can design on a 1-inch grid base and the dimensions will hold true on the ground. Big advantage for me.

Alright, I know I have been quiet on social media lately. Between moving our house, the shop, making holsters, prepping for my major matches I am running this year, and life in general, social media has taken a bit of a back burner (for better or for worse).

I am going to use my pages to advertise for the excellent sponsors that are supporting my major USPSA matches this year, starting with the 2023 Blue Grass LOCAP Classic which takes place next weekend! We are one month out and there are still lots of slots available for the 2023 Blue Grass LOCAP Classic! There have been a good number of withdrawals over the last month. Frankly, the match is just short of its financial break-even point.

This is going to be a great match, and a ton of work has gone into this. The stages have been approved by DNROI and the matchbook will be released in the next couple days.

It has been a crazy month working out of the old shop that is 45 min away from where we moved to while simultaneously working to get the new shop ready to go. Lot of work, but it will all pay off.
